Alpha Women Empowerment Initiative (AWEI) is a community-based, women-led nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting women and children in Kasese District, Uganda. Founded in 2009,  AWEI works to improve education, health, economic stability, and environmental sustainability through skill-building and advocacy.

 

We empower women by providing vocational training, agricultural support, entrepreneurship opportunities, and education on reproductive health, gender-based violence prevention, and HIV/AIDS awareness. By fostering economic independence and social well-being, we create lasting change for families in Kasese.

 

Through our core programs in health, economic empowerment, environmental protection, and women’s rights, we continue to drive meaningful transformation. As an organization led by and for women, we believe in women's power to lead change in their communities.
